Geoboard is a tool designed for exploring various mathematical concepts commonly taught in elementary and middle school grades. Users utilize bands to create line segments and polygons, facilitating learning about perimeter, area, angles, congruence, fractions, and more. This digital adaptation of the manipulative serves as a versatile educational instrument, well-suited for elementary classrooms and diverse learning environments.

FEATURES

Create line segments and polygons by stretching bands around Geoboard’s pegs.
Choose from 8 different band colors.
Fill individual shapes with a transparent color or employ the Fill All button to alternate between filled and unfilled bands.
Toggle between the standard 25-peg square board, a rectangular board with 150 pegs, or a circular board with 13 pegs. The circular board affords explorations involving angles, fractions, and time measurement.
Duplicate shapes and manipulate them by moving, rotating, or flipping to investigate symmetry and congruency.
Adjust the color of selected bands.
Display grid lines with or without numbering for easier area calculation and shape identification.
Utilize resizable covers to conceal or reveal work, enabling the creation of custom problems and modeling strategies.
Employ drawing tools to annotate work and demonstrate comprehension.
Include equations, expressions, and descriptions using the math text and writing tools.
Share your work by saving an image or providing a share code to other users.
